About Us.

SOUTH AFRICA, FRAMED DIFFERENTLY.

Lekker Local Prints creates playful, proudly South African wall art inspired by our heritage, humour, sporting culture and the unforgettable characters that make Mzansi lekker.

OUR STORY

Lekker Local Prints began with a simple idea: the art on our walls should feel like home.

Founded by Maarten de Jong in Somerset West, the brand was created to celebrate South Africa through a fresh and playful lens. From vintage rugby characters and local sporting legends to the animals, places and personalities that define our country, every collection is designed to spark recognition, conversation and a little local pride.

This is South African art with character—familiar, nostalgic and framed differently.

PROUDLY LOCAL

Every Lekker Local Prints order is produced locally in South Africa.

Our prints are carefully prepared, professionally printed and available framed or unframed. Each order is quality checked, securely packaged and protected for the journey to its new home.

By producing locally, we can maintain a closer eye on quality while supporting the South African businesses and craftspeople involved in bringing every piece to life.

ART WITH PERSONALITY

We believe wall art should do more than fill an empty space.

It should make you smile. It should start a conversation. It should remind you of Saturday rugby, the family braai, the Winelands, the bushveld or the unmistakable humour that only South Africans truly understand.

Our collections combine vintage sporting style, local heritage and playful storytelling to create pieces that feel distinctive without losing their sense of home.

MADE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN SPACES

Whether it is destined for a braai room, living room, home bar, office or clubhouse, every piece is designed to bring warmth, character and local flavour into the space.

Choose from poster-only options or complete the artwork with a black or natural wooden frame in sizes ranging from A4 to A1.

BECAUSE LOCAL IS LEKKER.

Thank you for supporting a proudly South African small business.

We hope you find a piece that feels familiar, makes you smile and earns its place on your wall.

Welcome to Lekker Local Prints.
