1. Overview
This website is operated by Lekker Local Prints. Throughout these Terms of Service, “Lekker Local Prints”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating lekkerlocalprints.co.za.
By visiting our website, placing an order or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this website or place an order.
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot lawfully be limited under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 or any other applicable South African law.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to place an order.
If you are under 18, you may use this website only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to provide complete, current and accurate information when placing an order. We are not responsible for delivery delays or losses caused by incorrect information supplied by you.
4. Products and artwork
We make reasonable efforts to display our artwork, colours, frames, materials and product details accurately. However:
-
Colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting and display settings.
-
Natural wooden frames may have variations in grain, colour and texture.
-
Product mockups are provided to demonstrate appearance and scale and may not represent exact proportions in every room.
-
Minor variations may occur between batches of printing, paper, framing materials and packaging.
-
Dimensions stated on the product page should be checked before placing an order.
These reasonable variations do not affect your statutory rights where a product is defective, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet legally required standards.
Artwork is sold for decorative use unless stated otherwise.
5. Product availability
All products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, discontinue products or withdraw collections without prior notice.
If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative, store credit where accepted by you, or a refund.
6. Orders and acceptance
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.
We may decline or cancel an order where:
-
A product is unavailable.
-
Pricing or product information contains an obvious error.
-
Payment is declined or cannot be verified.
-
We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity.
-
Delivery cannot reasonably be completed to the supplied address.
-
The order appears to be placed for unauthorised resale or commercial reproduction.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the applicable amount using the original payment method.
7. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed in South African rand unless stated otherwise.
Applicable taxes, delivery charges and discounts will be shown at checkout before payment is completed.
We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred.
Payment must be completed through the payment methods made available at checkout. Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers, and their terms and security procedures may also apply.
We do not store complete payment-card information on our own systems.
8. Promotions and discounts
Promotional offers are subject to the terms displayed with the relevant promotion.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
-
Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Promotions cannot be combined.
-
Discount codes must be entered before checkout is completed.
-
Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
-
Promotions may have an expiry date, minimum order value or product exclusions.
-
Returned items may affect eligibility for a bundle or multi-buy discount.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion where there has been an obvious error, abuse or unauthorised use.
9. Production and delivery
Some of our products are printed, framed or prepared after an order is placed.
Production and delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing. Delays may occur because of production volumes, courier disruptions, public holidays, severe weather, inaccessible delivery areas or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and ensuring that someone is available to receive the parcel where required.
Our Shipping Policy forms part of these terms and contains further information about delivery areas, estimated timeframes, courier charges and tracking.
Nothing in this section limits any delivery rights available to you under applicable South African law.
10. Inspection and delivery problems
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us promptly at hello@lekkerlocalprints.co.za and provide:
-
Your order number.
-
A description of the problem.
-
Clear photographs of the product.
-
Photographs of the internal and external packaging where relevant.
Providing this information helps us assess the issue and submit any necessary courier claim. A request for photographs does not remove or reduce any statutory rights you may have.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may arrange a repair, replacement, collection or refund.
11. Returns, refunds and cooling-off rights
Our Returns Policy forms part of these terms and explains our normal return process.
Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act provides a cooling-off right and no statutory exclusion applies, you may cancel an eligible electronic transaction within the legally prescribed period after receiving the goods.
The direct cost of returning goods under a cooling-off cancellation may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.
Products must be returned with reasonable care and, where possible, in their original protective packaging. You remain entitled to inspect products to the extent reasonably necessary to determine their nature and condition.
Nothing in our Returns Policy or these terms limits your rights concerning goods that are unsafe, defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from their description.
Approved refunds will normally be processed through the original payment method. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time before the funds reflect in your account.
12. Personalised and custom products
Products made specifically to your instructions, personalised products and bespoke commissions may not qualify for certain change-of-mind or cooling-off returns where an exclusion is permitted under applicable law.
This does not remove your rights if a personalised or custom product is defective, damaged, incorrectly produced or materially different from the agreed specifications.
13. Order cancellations
Contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel or amend an order.
We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled after printing, framing, packing or dispatch has begun.
Any cancellation restriction remains subject to the cooling-off rights and other consumer protections provided by applicable law.
14. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, all artwork, illustrations, photographs, designs, product names, collection names, logos, graphics, website content and branding displayed on this website are owned by or lawfully licensed to Lekker Local Prints.
Purchasing a print gives you ownership of the physical product only. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to:
-
Copy or reproduce the artwork.
-
Digitise, scan or distribute the artwork.
-
Resell reproductions.
-
Use the artwork for commercial branding, merchandise or advertising.
-
Modify the artwork and present it as your own.
-
Use product images or website content without permission.
Unauthorised reproduction or commercial use may result in legal action.
15. Reviews and customer content
If you submit a review, photograph, testimonial or other content to us, you confirm that:
-
You created it or have permission to share it.
-
It is truthful and not misleading.
-
It does not violate another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
-
It does not contain unlawful, abusive or harmful material.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and share that content for marketing and promotional purposes, subject to applicable privacy law.
We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, irrelevant or fraudulent.
16. Acceptable use
You may not use this website:
-
For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
-
To infringe intellectual-property rights.
-
To transmit viruses, malicious code or harmful material.
-
To interfere with the website’s security or operation.
-
To collect another person’s information without authority.
-
To scrape, copy or reproduce website content for commercial use.
-
To place fraudulent orders or misuse promotional offers.
We may restrict access or cancel affected orders where these terms are breached.
17. Third-party services
Our store is hosted using Shopify and may use third-party services for payments, delivery, analytics, reviews, communication and marketing.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that we do not control, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
18. Privacy and personal information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African data-protection law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
We may process information necessary to:
-
Complete and deliver orders.
-
Process payments.
-
Communicate with customers.
-
Prevent fraud.
-
Provide customer support.
-
Comply with legal and accounting obligations.
-
Send marketing communications where legally permitted.
Our Privacy Policy provides further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored and shared.
19. Website accuracy and availability
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or completely current.
We may correct errors, update information, suspend features or perform maintenance without prior notice.
Historical information may be provided for reference and should not necessarily be treated as current.
20. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lekker Local Prints will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Gross negligence.
-
Death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
-
Defective or unsafe products where liability is imposed by law.
-
Any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
Where liability can lawfully be limited, our total liability relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.
21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Lekker Local Prints against claims, losses or expenses arising directly from your unlawful use of the website, infringement of another person’s rights or material breach of these terms.
This section does not apply where the loss was caused by our unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of a non-excludable legal duty.
22. Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier disruptions, natural disasters, severe weather, power failures, internet outages, industrial action, civil unrest, government restrictions or shortages of essential materials.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate material delays.
23. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes to our business, services, website or legal obligations.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Changes will apply from publication and will not retrospectively alter an order already accepted unless required by law.
24. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the website where a user materially breaches these terms, engages in fraudulent conduct or threatens the security of the store.
Any provisions that are intended to continue after termination, including intellectual-property, payment and liability provisions, will remain effective.
25. Severability and waiver
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remainder of the terms will continue to apply.
A failure or delay in enforcing a right does not amount to a permanent waiver of that right.
26. Governing law
These terms and any transaction concluded through this website are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent South African courts, without preventing either party from using any consumer complaint, ombud or alternative dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.
27. Complaints and dispute resolution
